Apex Locating was called out to perform Private Utility Locates and to verify Public Utility marks along state street in Sandy Utah. A directional boring rig was set up in order to run a 100 foot long directional bore through a congested sidewalk into the side building of a nearby business. When possible, depths were given on the utilities that were crossing the path of the bore. We were also able to save the customers some time and money by allowing them to pinpoint spots where utilities crossed to verify depths by using a hydro-vac. This building now gets to enjoy new Fiber Optic internet thanks to this safe installation.
The sub-surface world is full of the unknown. Water, sewer, gas, communication, and high-voltage electrical lines all weave below ground.
