Every once in a while we get to make a journey for work. This week, we made the excursion to Gilette Wyoming. On this project we used our Ground Penetrating Radar and Electromagnetic locating equipment to verify that no utilities or other subsurface objects were in the way to install new wells.
Fortunately, we were able to scan the area with multiple techniques and ensure that the drillers were proceeding safely and no utility assets were damaged.
The sub-surface world is full of the unknown. Water, sewer, gas, communication, and high-voltage electrical lines all weave below ground. Whether these lines are close to the surface or nearly 20 feet below, they pose a significant hazard when digging. By identifying hazards beforehand, you save time and money by preventing line strikes and keeping your crew safe.
